Dr. Harpur graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1969 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Geology. He worked as a mining exploration geologist in the Canadian Birth and then as a mining safety researcher after moving to California. He earned his doctorate from UC Berkeley in Optometry in 1982 and has been in private practice in San Diego since then. Dr. Harpur joined Scripps Poway Eye Care in 2004 and will be emphasizing Behavioral Vision Therapy and Optometric Phototherapy (Color Therapy) in our practice.
